Application Logic & Guide

Understanding the calculations, workflows, and terminology used in the Readiness Tool.

Readiness % vs. Completion %
Understanding the difference between availability and progress.

You may notice a difference between the Bundle Readiness % shown in tables and the CWP Completion % shown in detailed views. This is intentional as they measure different things.

1. Bundle Readiness ("Go / No-Go")

This calculates the percentage of CWPs that are completely unblocked and ready for construction.

  • Focus: Availability & Blockers
  • Formula: (Count of Unblocked CWPs / Total CWPs) * 100
  • Logic: If a CWP has any active constraint, it is considered "Blocked" (0% Ready for this metric).

2. CWP Completion ("Progress")

This measures how many Readiness Criteria (checklist items) have been marked as "Met".

  • Focus: Work Progress
  • Formula: (Completed Exit Criteria / Total Criteria) * 100
  • Logic: A CWP can be 90% complete (paperwork done) but still be Blocked (missing 1 permit).

Example Scenario:

Imagine a Bundle with 2 CWPs:

CWP A: 90% Constraints Closed, but 1 Critical Constraint remains.Status: Blocked
CWP B: 10% Constraints Closed, but 0 Critical Constraints.Status: Ready
Average Completion
50%
(90% + 10%) / 2
Bundle Readiness
50%
1 out of 2 is Ready

*Note: If CWP B becomes 100% complete, Average Completion jumps to 95%, but Bundle Readiness stays at 50% until CWP A is unblocked.
